Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt from the progression from it to the full product?
Comparing my music magazine to the school magazine I created for the preliminary task there is a big difference. To begin with, my knowledge of using photoshop has expanded a lot. I find myself now knowing about a lot more features within photoshop that I never really knew was there during my preliminary task. Therefore there is a lot I have learnt from the progression from it to the full product. I learnt how to use the 'blur tool' the 'magnetic lasso tool' and many more for that matter, all of which I was unaware of when creating my school magazine in the preliminary task. Photoshop played a big part in my product so the main features I have learnt from then till now all lie within photoshop.
In comparison to my preliminary task I have used a load of different techniques in my full product. As you can see below I have used a drop shadow on texts, i've included more conventions such as; subheadings, a strap line, quotes, a footer, more images, less text etc. This emphasises the comparison between the two.
My knowledge of technology recourses has improved a great amount throughout this project. To begin with I had only briefly used photoshop so now I feel I have developed a greater understanding when using this software and feel more confident. Also I am happy that I now have knowledge on what work goes into creating a music magazine and how to produce one as this is a topic I am interested in.
